“Great Book About Growing Up In The 1960s
Robert Probst does a wonderful job describing his life journey. Growing up in Santa Monica, California going to UC Berkeley and traveling the world before settling in New Zealand. The author was a surfer, tennis player and was interested in understanding other cultures and people.
He goes through his memories, thought processes, people who influenced his life journey. What he was taught to believe about the American dream and what was the reality that impacted his and others of his generation’s lives. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An interesting look at the trajectory of America
These days so many people are asking, “What the heck happened to America?”. I think this book goes a long way toward answering that question. It’s a complicated subject, looked at in a very personal way through the author’s life experiences.
